Consultation response – ESRC Call for Evidence on Knowledge and Skills Needs – 31st October 2017

The Economic and Social Research Council recently put out a call for evidence to find out where they need to build knowledge and skills to improve the UK’s social science capability and capacity. The focus is on strategically important knowledge and skills required to ensure the world-leading status of UK social science research and the continued competitiveness of the UK economy.

This call for evidence coincides with the start of the ESRC’s transition to UK Research and Innovation in which they will consider how to support research talent more broadly, especially at the disciplinary interfaces.
